The GC is a gorgeous spot. Pretty picturesque, we’d bloody well say. So it makes sense that, when location scouting, Hollywood would drop us a visit. Over the past 20 years, there’s been quite a few productions pass our shores, so here’s a few examples of major productions you could have drove by at some point.

You shouldn’t be spending your hard earned money trying to impress other people, it’s there for late night purchases of fancy jackets and Maccas runs. Just kidding…unless that’s your bliss. But really, dates shouldn’t leave you eating noodles and frozen peas for a month every time, so here are some free ideas that are also free to do.

Kids are hard to impress sometimes. You may think the only thing not on a screen that’s going to shake them is the theme parks (which are definitely fun, btw, just not for this list) but the Gold Coast is chock-a-block full of exciting, unique, interesting activities they’ll remember way longer than their third ride on a roller coaster this month.

Remember that time you were a kid, and your parents took you on that one thing? You know, the thing that was just so magical that you’ve remembered it ever since, And now you want to take your kids to experience the same thing that made you so happy. Well, it’s gone. The GC is a tourism hotspot, and stuff gets changed up, moved, rethemed and just taken out all the time. Here’s a few things you probably remember but can’t revisit.

Not really, they’re all great and you can rest assured of that. Stamp of approval and everything. Got it? Instead, we’re going to use each entry to give you a fun fish pun and see far we can take them. Again, to reiterate, you should be assured that every place on this list makes great fish and chips. But we are going to use this as an excuse for puns. You must forgive us, old chum!
