Brisbane's Best High Teas

Game of Scones

Is there a pairing more perfect than the humble tea and scone? Add in a couple of our favourite girlfriends, a beautiful venue and a chilly afternoon, high teas are just about our favourite Winter past time. Lucky for us, there’s a number of stunning Brissy venues who have their high teas down to an art form. Check out some of our absolute favourites!

Cakes by Judy C | Ashgrove

Queen of cakes Judy C knows a lil’ something about what goes into a fab high tea. Serving delicious and decadent high teas every day of the week, this Ashgrove cake haven is our go-to when it comes to afternoon delights (of the cake variety).

Dandelion and Driftwood | Hendra

These Hendra tea and coffee experts are proving that in the world of afternoon tea, old school is best. Offering all our favourite classics, such as scones with jam and cream, lemon curd tarts and macarons, the high tea at Dandelion and Driftwood’s is the best $35 you’ll spend this winter.

Room with Roses | Brisbane City

This iconic Brisbane venue lives by the mantra “high tea is a right, not a privilege.” We couldn’t agree more! Vogue Living voted Room with Roses as ‘5 of the Best High Teas in Australia’ in 2012, and it’s easy to see why. We can’t wait to try their Ultimate Chocolate Fondue High Tea, which includes raspberry scones with homemade jam and Chantilly cream, and a homemade chocolate fondue for $49 per person.

Stamford Plaza Brisbane | Brisbane City

This is one for the chocoholics… Stamford Plaza hosts a decadent chocolate high tea every Saturday and Sunday for $49 per person. Basically everything you want from a high tea with the added indulgence of gorgeous river views and a seriously incredible chocolate theme.

French and Mor Café | Albany Creek

With a focus on quality and atmosphere, this French style high tea stands out from the crowd. Featuring a wide selection of delicious T2 teas, each high tea is $38 per person and includes a delicious variety of French gateaux, petite fours and pastry.

Bacchus | South Brisbane

The expert in high tea, Bacchus is the perfect place to experience true high tea elegance. Served on William Edwards fine bone china, every high tea is accompanied by Harney and Son fine teas including Earl Grey, Darjeeling, Ceylon and Jasmine Dragon Pear. You’ll feel like a queen as you dine on freshly baked scones and an assortment of sweet delights for $38 per person!
