  • Flying high with her debut EP, this bird has wings…

The Good Guide Ilona & swoon over ‘That Which Lasts’.

Having been born and bred in the far Northern Territory Ilona Harkers music reflects the depths and wilds of this frontier landscape.

Ilona moved to Sydney and studied under Ian Miller at JMC Academy before moving to Brisbane where she started working with Butterfingers as a singer and performer.

After realising her passion was not hip hop, Ilona formed ‘Sugartown’ an all girl 5 piece original country ensemble but the peace of country life called and Ilona moved to sleepy Brunswick Heads in Northern NSW to pursue a solo career and teach herself to play guitar and ukulele.

After 2 years being relatively quiet Ilona went on a small tour of France and met up with Marc Collin from Nouvelle Vague who offered to produce Ilona’s debut album in France under his own label.

However the opportunity to work with Jodi Phillis and Tim Oxley in Australia was an offer to good to refuse and Ilona began her recording in 2010.
Ilona’s debut solo album ‘That Which Lasts’ is an independent album of extraordinary originality imbued with lush and heart melting moments.
